Izza Kizza: Wizard of Iz Mixtape

The day escapes me...but I definitely had to post this mixtape by our homie Izza Kizza and the folks @ Decon. Download it here.
Phoenix: "Lisztomania" (Classixx Version)
Dueling Remixes, I call RTC's Phoenix remix.
There's going to be a lot of reworking on this phoenix album, its just too good with too many great hooks. At some point somebody is going to have to mash it up with something, I don't know, Eric B. and Rakim maybe, and turn it into a jaydiohead or grey album; it's got that potential. The Classixx Remix of the opening track, Lisztomania, takes the beat, drops it down a step, pulls out the guitar and drums and adds a nice little backing keyboard. Your turn RTC; Challenge.

RH TV: 11 Minutes With De La Soul

RubyHornet's DJ RTC sits down with Dave and Pos from De La Soul at a recent Sprite Green Event in Chicago, IL. The interview comes as De La Soul, and the larger music community celebrates the 20th anniversary of 3 Feet High And Rising, the group's seminal debut album. In this interview, RTC digs into the album as Dave and Pos discuss it's place in 1989 and 2009. De La Soul also talks about 3 Feet High And Rising in comparison to 89's other genre changing release, Paul's Boutique, their feelings for "Me, Myself, and I", the simple brilliance of "Tread Water", as well as the intricacy of the D.A.I.S.Y. Age and more. Check it out below.

Fabolous: "It's My Time" featuring Jeremih

Anyone Loso fans out in RubyHornet land? "Breathe" has to be one of my favorite joints of all time, and since this joint features Jeremih, and since Jeremih is usually good for a couple 'he's so sexy' comments, I'm gonna go ahead and post this new one, "It's My Time". This is actually the second Fabolous song to come my way today, so you can also get his new one with The Dream, "Throw It In The Bag".
