The Knux on Sound Session with DJ Hyphen

Is there such a thing as a weekend from a weekend?  Memorial Day offered a nice little break, but now break time is over.  Here's a little something from our friend DJ Hyphen in Seattle....

On the way to the Sasquatch Festival, the Knux came through Sound Session last night to co-host while J. Moore was out in Minnesota at the Rhymesayers' Soundset concert.  We talked about their next album, upcoming tour plans, an all-star remix to their “F!re” track that’s in the works, the Twitter phenomenon, and more. Plus, they even kicked a quick freestyle live over the air.

Does anyone else think that Mike 100's looks a little bit like Krispy from The Knux?

Bin Laden Blowin' Up: "Chi Don't Dance"

We ran into Jason Perez of BBU last night at the Evil Olive, and he told us about the strong response they've been getting from their Goodie Mobish "Chi Don't Dance".  Pitchfork gave it an 8 out of 10, not to shabby from an outlet known for pissing off artists with their reviews.  The track's definitely a favorite at our offices as well, and we can finally drop it on everybody.  Grab it below, and you won't be disappointed.

Method Man And Redman: "Dangerous Mcees" (Cookin' Soul Remix)

Charles Hamilton's Real Rap Battle

"That can't be good for busines...That can't be good for anybody..."

Charles Hamilton has more than Rhymefest to worry about, as he was recently suckered punched by a random female emcee, who took his verbal shots a little bit too personal.  Check out the video below, and watch how an interview goes wrong, and Hamilton ends up getting cold cocked in the jaw...Anytime a girl decides to read a "poem" and continually raises her voice like that, it's a good sign to just hold your cards as they say.  Hamilton's lines do sting though, and obviously this girl is unfamiliar with the number one rule of battling of not taking things personally.  See for yourself below.
