So, Chief Keef and King Louie, two of more buzzing artists on the street side of Chicago Hip Hop this year, have announced a joint mixtape. The news of their collaboration hit yesterday, and today we another new song from the two in the form of “Ignorance”, produced by Young Chop. These two artists getting together makes perfect sense, and while it’s not necessarily, what I’m jamming to these days, their music is important in Chicago’s Hip Hop spectrum. I think this mixtape is gonna be pretty large, especially given both Keef and Louie’s fanbases, and growing industry attention. Check out the new music below via FSD.
Sidenote: I had the chance to hear some of King Louie’s new album while it is getting mastered at SoundScape. The music I heard has a really big sound, and while I’ve heard previous stuff from Louie, I think Dope & Shrimp will really show him as more than just hype, and a really good up and coming artist. He can actually really rap.
