Sometimes there are things cooler than being cool and such are explored in Cloud Nothings’ “Hey Cool Kid”. There must be something in the water in Cleveland, as a quick music rise musically is happening quicker than the Browns making the playoffs. Cloud Nothings started as one 18 year in his parents basement, and the computer recording’s lo-fi quality, said 18 year old’s (Dylan Baldi) lyrical stylings caught on, led to a demand for shows, led to a band formation, led to performances, and the present day preparations of an EP on Carpark Records (who also released Toro Y Moi). “Hey Cool Kid” is pretty dope, and you don’t need designer clothes to enjoy it.
