Bumpy Knuckles is a mean motherfucker. You may know him as Freddie Foxxx, and some of you may also know about the reputation the precedes him and how it struck fear with many in the industry. He has teamed with DJ Premier for a new LP, KoleXXXion (March 27th), as well as a precursor EP that should be dropping soon. The duo gives us their new single, “We Are At War”, which sees Bumpy fighting against posers that think he’s too old, artists that misrepresent the culture, and fans that download music without lending any support to the artists that create it. That’s a heavy battle, but if anyone is up for it, it’s Bumpy backed by DJ Premier.
