Drake definitely did the right thing by hopping on SBTRKT’s “Wildfire” a while back, both by bringing pop/rap fans in-tune with a new sound, and allowing the indie/electronic world to give him more fans (because he needs them). Either way, LA based beat artist Shlohmo is here today, showcasing his own take on “Marvin’s Room”. The reason Shlohmo wins here, is despite the already simple and clean instrumental produced by Drake’s boy 40, Shlohmo is able to take that simplicity and raise it 1.
