Where to start with the Eels? They are one of my favorite bands for their simple approach to song writing. Mr. E does away with overly complex lyrics, and overdone instrumentation, preferring to express his feelings with words that get straight to the point such as “I like birds” and “it’s a motherf**ker”. No matter how f**ked up things get, The Eels always make me feel like they could get worse, and I love them for it. Their new album is at the top of my buy list, and here’s the band’s first video for “Spectacular Girl”. See it below.
