Evidence: Cats and Dogs Cover

I don’t know about you, but my day just got a little better with news that Evidence of Dilated Peoples will be releasing his sophomore solo album, Cats & Dogs, on September 27th.  This LP will be Evidence’s first on the indie label Rhymesayers, who signed Evidence in 2009 following the release of his Layover EP.  Ev also released the track listing, revealing the album to be 17 songs deep with features from Raekwon, Aloe Blacc, Slug, Aesop Rock, Prodigy, Alchemist, and more.  For underground Hip Hop fans, this is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated albums of the year.

Evidence made a name for himself as part of Dilated Peoples alongside Rakaa and DJ Babu.  Following the release of Cats & Dogs, DJ Babu will be releasing the 4th and final Duck Season LP, which will reportedly be followed by the new album from Dilated Peoples.

In December of 2010, Evidence released an EP, I Don’t Need Love, which featured all reinterpretations of classic Beatles cuts.  Download I Don’t Need Love here, and see the tracklist below.
