The Gorillaz’ Damon Albarn, playing guest DJ on Dermot O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 show yesterday unveiled an previously unreleased track from the group’s 2010 album Plastic Beach, titled “Whirlwind”. Like the track “White Flag” off the seminal album, the latest track to hit the airwaves also features the Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra. Albarn and Gorillaz collaborator Jamie Hewlett announced earlier this summer that a follow up to Plastic Beach is in the works, which is becoming a bit overdue.
