A few weeks ago I made a post about “Before The Music Dies”, a film by Andrew Shapter. Shapter has a new film set for release, and currently undergoing select screenings. His new venture, “Happiness Is” follows the “Before The Music Dies” approach of traveling the country with camera and question in hand. Where his previous film explored the music industry’s affect on music, “Happiness Is” explores the pursuit of happiness in America. You can check out the trailer below, as well as more info on the film.
Happiness Is is a road trip to explore what the pursuit of happiness means in America. It is the second film from Andrew Shapter, Director of the acclaimed documentary, Before The Music Dies. Happiness Is tells an insightful and provocative tale of how we pursue happiness in America as it travels across the country, looking for answers. Along the way, we hear from folks like John and Elaine Mellencamp, the Dalai Lama, & Willie Nelson along with best-selling authors like Dan Millman, comedians and lots of everyday people encountered in big cities and small towns along the way, all pursuing the American dream. So come along on this journey, as we explore what truly makes us happy…because it may not be a big secret after all!
