Arizona’s Isaiah Toothtaker has an interesting name, and a crazy back story. The tattoo artists and owner of the popular Tuscon shop, Staring Without Caring, released his debut album last month via his own label Machina Muerte and Alpha Pup Records. The emerging emcee’s success in various fields should be celebrated, as he’s traveled a rough rode after being kicked out of his home at the age of 11. His father was murdered by the Tucson police, and Toothtaker himself has been a witness to many street fights and convicted of multiple felonies. “Baby”, off the recently released LP, is a song of redemption for Toothtaker.
