While skimming through my instagram feed, I caught a post from Jay Electronice featuring a photo of his iTunes library. Jay wasn’t sharing a road-trip or summer bbq playlist, instead he posted the tracklist for what is his long-awaited proper debut, Act 2: Patents of Nobility (The Turn). Jay also posting a few messages along with the photo including one that thanked Jay-Z “for being one of the most patient label heads in the history of label heads.”
Jay also explained a little bit about Act 2 and its relationship to Act 1: Eternal Sunshine (the Pledge). Jay wrote, “every magic trick consists of three parts…The Pledge: where the magician shows you something ordinary; a bird, a deck of cards or a man. The Turn: Where the magician takes the ordinary something and does something #extraordinary.”
The album as it stands is 15 tracks long and includes guest appearances from Kanye West, Diddy, Jay-Z, Erykah Badu, and Charlotte Gainesbourg. Hopefully this version gets accepted by Hov and the release will begin. See the full tracklist below.
