A couple years ago I highlighted the artwork of Kehinde Wiley, a painter with a unique style of putting modern figures in classic cultural poses. On April 9th, Wiley will launch the newest installment of his World Stage series, this time examining Jewish cultural symbols via his paintings from his travels to Tel Aviv, Israel. According to CuratedMag, the exhibition will take place April 9th to May 28th at Roberts and Tilton in Culver City, California. The gallery will also be releasing a full book documenting Wiley’s time in Israel.
