Kid Cudi mentioned at the start of 2011 that he was going to release a new mixtape consistently of mostly Hip Hop material named A Man Named Scott. The announcement came when Cudi returned to Twitter, and also announced his next album, Wizard. The new LP is a straight rock record, according to Cudi, and for now, it’s the only release we should expect from him this year. He released a statement yesterday telling fans that the mixtape has been “scrapped” because his full attention is firmly focused on completing Wizard. Cudi also said that Wizard will be released by the end of the year, and it will be followed by MOTM3. See Cudi’s statement below.

A Man Named Scott is scrapped everyone, I know its a bummer but ive just been too busy with this new album and thats where all my energy and focus is right now. I gotta work on what moves me creatively. After this im going straight to work on MOTM3 so dont trip. You’ll definately have the WIZARD album this year so no worries.
