Mic Terror

Last night I attended Leaders of The New Cool at The Funky Buddha Lounge.  The night’s purpose was to showcase a portion of Chicago’s leading Hip Hop artists.  The lineup was diverse, demonstrated early by a set from ADaD of All Natural Inc., followed by a performance from LEP.  Further demonstration was the bookend acts of YP (joined by Big Homie D.O.E.) who opened the show, and Mic Terror who’s closing set that included “Asshole”, and a debut performance of “I’m Famous”.  In between were sets from Mikkey Halsted, GLC, and Really Doe (with Phil G).  DJ’s Million $ Mano, Ray Protege, Toure, Tone B. Nimble, and DJ Geno all performed as well.  We have selected footage from the event captured by Brandon N2ition Riley for Fakeshoredrive, who were one of the event sponsors, Dave Jeff also hosted the night.

You can see YP’s opening performance, ADaD, LEP, and Mikkey Halsted debut his new song “You’re Gone”, which features Lupe Fiasco.  I’m not sure if Brandon stayed passed that, but if there’s more footage, we’ll have it.  I caught all the performances and had a good time chopping it up everybody.
