With last weeks epicness of Cold Day In Hell and Now Or Neva, The Go has been a little less hectic this week. While we were all stuck to our respective listening devices, we have new announcements and music from King Louie, YP, Sly Polaroid PYYRAMIDS, Jamal Science, Nascent, Neak, G-Scott, Scheme, Nez & Rio, Naledge, and FOOCH The Emcee. In a more brief fashion than usual I will round-up this week’s releases, as well a feature some of the most recent drops straight from Nascent’s MPC.

King Louie is quickly gaining momentum in the city and nation as a whole, through the a thriving street team and his catchy records. Recently he and Elephilms shot the visuals for “Too Cool” and you can check the BTS footage of the shoot here.

YP and Sly Polaroid linked for “Ya Hear Me” off of DJ V-Dub’s upcoming We Affiliated 3 tape, hosted by Freddie Gibbs. Love to see the illest in the Chi collab.

PYYRAMIDS the newly formed indie/pop duo is here with visuals for their latest single “That Ain’t Right” off their debut EP Human Beings, that dropped on Halloween.

We are proud to help present Jamal Science’s dropped his first project as an official member of the SRNC crew. The EP “Something Wonderful” is music made to brighten the soul, as we enter the dark ages of Chicago winter.

Scheme dropped his version of “Lord Knows” as he readies his upcoming EP The Life That I Chose produced entirely by Slot-A, due 12.6. Check our First Listen for “Hello (Whatup)”.

Neak dropped visuals for “Watch Me Now” off his upcoming Love Greater // The Prequel. Great video from Neak, def one of the best I’ve seen from him.

Nez & Rio linked with Naledge & Swopes for “It’s Yo Birthday” off their upcoming project Let’s get Ill 2. Don’t forget Kidz In The Hall’s The Occasion drops November 22nd, Pre-order Here.

G-Scott dropped the visuals for “Pressure” off of his latest mixtape Scott Bailey Vs The World. Hopefully we can see some new material soon from the Gary, IN native.

Braniac Society member FOOCH The Emcee dropped his latest mixtape titled Rhythm & Barz. Last I heard from FOOCH was on The In Crowd LP, glad to see him back with this fly tape.

FEATURE

Chicago producer Nascent and QB have been working heavily lately with rising Philadelphia MC Asaad (First Look Certified), producing his 2 latest singles “Dirty White Leathers” and most recently “Paint of The Fur”. Let me keep it simple, the marriage here is real and hopefully these young artists can continue to create in the near future.

Hopefully next week we will have a more comprehensive source of news and music, but as always Chicago never disappoints. If you’d like to contribute to Local Sounds, hit us up on Twitter, Facebook or send and email to SeanCK@Rubyhornet.com .
