Leaders 1354 Vintage Pretzel New Era Snapback
Two weeks ago our Local Threads highlighted St. Alfred’s Cubs and Sox edition fitted caps. Now Leaders 1354 has done much the same, releasing a snapback for both teams. The hats come complete with the teams color scheme and the vintage baseball pinstripes, all brought together by Leaders cursive ‘L’. These will no doubt go quickly, so head over to Leaders 1354 to pick it up.
Rocksmith ‘Beavis and Buthead’ Tee
Japanese Streetwear and New York swagger come together under the brand Rocksmith. Now in at Jugrnaut, I immediately was drawn to their ‘Beavis and Buthead’ tee. A phrase that has arose in other facets of pop culture, Rocksmith decided that it was fitting of its own t-shirt. The simple typography draws attention to the words and the clean ‘Rocksmith’ logo doesn’t distract from the phrase. It is available in both blue and black from Jugrnaut.
Sir & Madame is all around clean. Their no-nonsense designs highlight the materials and quality construction, passing up gimmicks to deliver top-notch products. Their Junior short is an embodiment of this. Manufactured in Chicago, Illinois out of 100% cotton canvas, the shorts sport an accordion cargo pocket on the left thigh and come in both avocado and navy.
Adidas Skateboarding Campus Vulcanized
Uprise Skate Shop has one of the best collections of fresh skating kicks in Chicago. Last week they had Nike’s Kobe x Eric Koston model. This week they dropped the newest release from Adidas Skateboarding. The Campus Vulcanized model is a low top with navy suede construction. A very nice touch comes with the addition of a golden leather heel tab. Head over to Uprise to cop a pair of these.
10.Deep Backpack and Duffle
10.Deep’s summer and spring line is arguably my favorite collection this season. They continue with their use of camo in this release of a backpack and duffel bag. Featuring multi-material construction, these are sturdy bags sure to turn heads this fall if you’re heading back to school. PHLI BoxGame Snapback Sample
We can’t run another edition of Local Threads without heading to Hyde Park and checking in with the PHLI Store and Dave Jeff. One of the best PHLI tees was the BoxGame tee, and now they have a snapback that uses the same classic design. Dave posted a pic of a sample on the PHLI Blog this week. We’ll let you know when they are in-store.
