So for all you ladies who like to go thrifitng and looking for those one of a kind long lost vintage pieces, a new spot has just opened up in Chicago, “Le Thrift”. Originally “Le Thrift” was an online store started by Christine Sanderson in 2009. A single Mom who was looking to be fashionable and still be able to keep things in her budget during a time when the recessions was well on its way. Christine, who came from a background in working design and fashion, was able to use her experience to know what the consumer wants. She soon realized that many women were in her same situation wanting to be fashionable and buy higher end brands, but at a reasonable price. She soon started “Le Thrift” high end consignment and thrift store online. Now after two years of her site doing well she has opened her own store front in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. The store front is not just an ordinary thrift shop, but according to Christine:
“1-stop shopping trip where you can find some of the best designer names such as Prada, Fendi, Gucci and a Fashion Salon where you can get your Morrocanoil Blowout, a No Chip Manicure or Microdermabrasion. Not only find upscale brands on consignment at exceptional value, but they will also find the work of local Chicago designers such as Jlee Silver, Nai, Eva May and Wish.We also make efforts to support our community partnering with the well known Chicago charity Bridge to Success where half of the proceeds of the sales of their items goes straight to them. Le Thrift and MGO Fashion Salon is a unique combination that the women viewers of your show are sure to find interesting.”
