Louis Vuitton x Journey x Annie Lebovitz - Pele, Diego Maradona,  & Zinedine Zidane

Louis Vuitton has been making suite cases to accompany men/women on their journey’s for over 150 years. In the recent years LV has been working with world renown portriat photographer Annie Leibovitz on their Journey campaign. In the past Annie has shot some of the world’s leading personalities including the man who brought the former Soviet Union Perestroika, Mikahail Gorbachev, French actress Catherine Deneuve, actor Sean Connery and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones. This year to celebrate the 2010 World Cup, LV has added Pele, Diego Maradona, & Zinedine Zidane to the list. These are three of fútbol (soccer) legends and greats that have played the game.  The campaign is currently live as a microsite, featuring a battle between the three greats duking it out on the foosball table. Aside from a video of the three legends, the site also features an interactive interview where the visitor can play director and select his interviewee and the questions he would like to ask.

Pelé – Is the true defintion of a legend. He was named the Football ambassador of the world by FIFA, and is also the Brazilian national treasure. Pele won his first World Cup at the young age of 17 and is the all time leader scorer of the Brazil national soccer team. He is the only player holding three World Cup winning medals as well. – Best of Pele Video

Diego Maradona – Is a former player for Argentine’s national team inwhich he manages now. He captained Argentina to World Cup victory in 1986, which was an legendary win because the un-penalized hand-goal earned a moniker, “The Hand of God” Best of Maradona

Zinedine Zidane – Aside from his memorable head-butting incident at FIFA World Cup 2006 (After which the man formerly retired from the competitive scene), was one of the all time greats and one of the two three-time FIFA World Cup Player Of The Year–the other being Ronaldo. – Best of Zidane
