Luke Christopher is new to me (and the world, he’s only 17) but his latest track/video has definitely grabbed my attention. Luke takes a look at technology and the numerous kinds of social networks we have today and he digs, examining and critiquing the their social ramifications with lines like:
“Yo, today gon’ be crazy, I should tweet about it/Tweet about her beauty but never speak about it/If she want it, she could get it, she’s a ‘send a friend request’/You want more of something? You should think about it less”
I can only hope the rest of his tracks are like this. The production is great, using a choral sample of Radiohead’s “Creep”, the lyrics are insightful, and the delivery is a little raw but solid. Check out the Kenneth Cabanilla directed video below.
