In my feature piece, The Tao of Mic Terror, I focused on the ying and the yang of the Chicago emcee. He can be boisterous and out going, one of city’s most brazen artists. At the same time, Mic Terror is also one of the most thoughtful, sneaking gems into this music alongside calls for ass shaking and fist pumping. “World Premiere”, off Riverdale The Musical, really exemplifies that, and represents the balance found on his latest project. This the “conversation with God” record so to speak, that we get to listen in on. The song is produced by Sizwe, and features Macie Stewart of Kids These Days.
