Almost out of nowhere late last night, Max Bouvagnet released a nine-track project entitled 18. The young Chicago native previously dropped The Sleep EP, which gave us somewhat of an insight into the enigmatic artist’s life, but in 18, Max gets even more personal as he chronicles experiences, thoughts, aspirations and fears a kid endures while turning 18.

Max seamlessly transitions from spoken word to a chopped up flow to singing all while pouring out his emotions regarding love, loneliness, drugs, uncertainty and everything in between. In summary, Max translates teenage angst into beautiful songwriting and melodies over mellow instrumentals. Listen below.
