The Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome (MACRO) is currently running an exhibit titled “New York Minute” featuring 60 artists that consider themselves to be spiritually rooted in New York if not from the actual city. New York Minute will be part of a newly developed segment of the Rome art gallery called Macro Future.
This division of the Roman museum will focus on fashion, music, commerce, alongside more traditional visual artwork. According to Roman website inabbondanza.com “The event is a result of a collaboration between Adidas Originals and MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome). The core objective of the exhibit is to demonstrate to today’s youth that it is fine to be different and that they should be free to express themselves.”
