
Another baseball season kicked off yesterday, and believe it or not, it marked the 100th season that started with a the presidential ceremonial first pitch. President Barack Obama did the honors at yesterday’s Phillies vs. Nationals game. He took the filed wearing a Nationals’ jacket. When he reached the mound, President Obama pulled out a White Sox hat and donned it for the pitch, which was outside… As far as our baseball teams go, The White Sox beat the Cleveland Indians 6-0 with Paul Konerko and Alex Rios homering, while Mark Buehrle turned in a stellar performance as well as perhaps the top play of 2010. Meanwhile, the Cubs got blown out 16-5 down in Hotlanta proving that all is right with the universe… You can see video of the first pitch and Buehrle’s great play.
