Kidz In The Hall

Naledge restarts his Kidz On The Road blog brought to you by RubyHornet.  This is installment 33, and the first since he hit the road with Warren G and U-N-I.  Check it out below.

Okay, I can’t lie…I have been very much neglecting my blog but it has been for good reason…

We did 3 shows at CMJ in New York city that went really well, and we have now embarked on our tour with Warren G and U-N-I.  Funny enough, right before we left for tour the homie Curt@!n$  (twitter name: dopeboyc) asked if he could join the tour.  I told him that it wouldn’t be glamorous in our 15 passenger van, that we didn’t have any money to pay him for any dates, and that he would have to contribute to gas money and hotel rooms.   Frankly, he just didn’t give a f**k…  So now he is our other opener on the tour.

This tour is also different because we have had to go back to driving to venues, setting up our own merchandise, putting up posters and sleeping in La Quinta inns.  It’s a humbling experience, but we are really taking things back to basics in this recession and it is allowing us to really touch different markets and really interact with the road again.  Hey, the money is not a small consolation either.

Kidz In The Hall Tour

The professional leisure tour is the beginning of the new Kidz In The Hall.  We are really focused on making people remember just how dope we really are and make them anticipate our new album (Land of Make Believe) and LRG mixtape (The Pro Leisure Tour EP).  We literally picked up our van in Philadelphia and drove over 24 hours to pick U-N-I up in Houston (because the Dallas and Austin dates were canceled) and then rocked House of Blues in New Orleans and the Haunted Valley festival in Nashville.  The shows have been really dope! I hope to have some decent footage and photos to get to you soon…  I am eager to see how Charleston, South Carolina goes 2moro…

Right now we are watching Shottas and smoking hookah at our homegirl’s crib… I want to wish a happy bday to my homie Yonas (twittername: @yonasafrica) from U-N-I and also a shout out to my homie H-Flo for lettin me sleep at his crib…  We also have the homie Dra on the road selling merch for us!! That alone has made it an interesting trip.  Expect tons of vlogs and ustreams….Still, even though the road is fun, I can’t wait to get back to Chicago on November 13th at the Metro…well I’m going to sleep. paz
