The Roots previously announced their plans for a 13th album this winter, and they recently announced the tracklist and concept for this project titled undun.  Questlove stated in the press release, “At this point in our career we’d like for our work to have a unifying theme, and an experiential quality… We’ve been intentionally making our albums shorter in length so that they can be experienced as a continuous work. The music is band-oriented with an eye on the moody cinematic.” The band also stated the LP is a re-telling of the life of Redford Stephens (1974-1999), as they will illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out “on the corner.”  The first single “Make My” will feature Big K.R.I.T a very fitting guest if you ask me, hitting iTunes 11/1, you can wait just a month longer for the December 6th, release of undun. Excited to hear another amazing album from a crew who has never recorded a bad LP.
