“Another Snoop Dogg, there will never be”
Nipsey Hussle is most compared to Snoop Doog, at least amongst people we talk to in Chicago. The similarities are there, location, style, overall vibe/brand, and why not? Rap’s next generation needs the Snoop Dogg element without a doubt. That makes this track that much better, at least in what it means, not just in what it sounds like. It definitely sounds good, and is my favorite Nipsey Hussle track yet. But, it’s great to see the dual-generation collaboration and not hateration (word to GLC)…Older artists need to embrace the new class if the new class is going to learn, the new class needs to follow some of the old school, if the lesson are going to continue to be taught.
