No Name: "The World In Your Eyes"

Last week I attended the release party for Kevin Coval’s new book, “more shit Chief Keef don’t like”.  Before Kevin’s reading, he had a couple of his Young Chicago Authors hit the stage and perform.  RubyHornet mainstays Saba and Malcolm London each performed dope new pieces, but the one who stole the show was perhaps No Name, a young female poet and emcee who many in the audience had never heard of.  I was very impressed with No Name, who’s wordplay, clever lyrics, and laidback flow easily won over the audience.  She has a mixtape coming out soon, and just dropped this new cut, “The World In Your Eyes”.  Check it out, you may just discover your new favorite female emcee.
