Big K.R.I.T.: "I Ain't S**t" video
Self-deprecation sounds great when it comes from Big K.R.I.T. in the form of his new video for "I Ain't S**t". Over the same smooth sample used in "Something New", K.R.I.T. talks women not wanting to have his baby, as well as watching MTV Cribs... Pretty dope if you ask me.
Cloud Nothings: "Understand At All"
I posted a track from Cleveland's Cloud Nothings a few weeks ago, and today have the first official track from their forthcoming self-titled LP. The album will be released on January 25, 2011 via Car Park Records. The album will be more polished than the home recordings that first caught the ears of fans and critics. Much of the album was recorded with Baltimore's Chester Gwazda at the city's famed Copy Cat Building. How do you like them apples? Listen to "Understand At All" below.
Swizz Beatz: "King Tut" featuring Rakim
"Did you get the message? Hip Hop is back."
Swizz Beatz join the "I'm going to drop a new song every week, and name it something...." train with Monster Mondays. This week he gives us "King Tut" featuring none other than Rakim, who delivers nothing less than expected. The beat is cold, but I'm not a big fan of Swizz on the mic, and would have rather had two verses from The God emcee. But, it is what it is. Grab it below.
Curren$y: "Michael Knight" video
We saw a trailer, we had the mp3 drop, now we have the official video for Curren$y's "Michael Knight". The song is off the forthcoming Pilot Talk 2, and the video is directed by Curren$y's personal music video wrecking crew of Creative.Control.
Scheme: "Maintain"
Scheme asks a higher power to give him to strength to hang on his latest video "Maintain". The video was directed and edited by RubyHornet's Tony Shane, and the song will appear on the deluxe edition of Scheme's Same Rebel, New Cause. The deluxe edition will be released on November 9th via Scheme773.com. Check out the new video below.
Sufjan Stevens: "Vesuvius"
Having graduated from the University of Illinois, I think I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Sufjan Stevens. Musically I've always been partial to Michigan, but there's a sense of pride to see the big I on the shirt during his Illinoise tour. Now that he's scrapped the 50 States ideology, he's released a new album, The Age of Adz, which has freed him up to explore a great deal musically. The latest, his surprisingly electronic, using keyboards and synths to expand the sound that we've come to expect. "Vesuvius" is a soft piano ballad, that slowly grows into something fantastic.

Crown Royale: "We Gotcha"

It took a little longer than expected, but the Buff1 and Rhettmatic LP, Crown Royale is finally ready for a 12/7/10 release. The LP features the coming together of the Mitten's Buff1 (Athletic Mic League) and L.A.'s DJ Rhettmatic (Beat Junkies). The album also features guest appearances from Eric Bobo, Fashawn, Bishop Lamont, Ras Kass, Guilty Simpson and more. "We Gotcha" is the LP's first single and is available for free download below. Sene: "Return2Gold" feat Britain Parker
Unknown to us, Sene spent all of October out in Switzerland working with producer NoGames. The two co-produced a new LP entitled Metropolispeaker, and "Return2Gold" is the duo's first piece from the project. Grab it below.
