Kid CuDi: The Journey of Mr. Rager video

Here is another promo video for KiD CuDi's forthcoming LP, Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. The album drops November 9th, and should be one of the year's best. I hope didn't set the bar too high, but all the promo and marketing behind this make it appear very dope, ha ha, high fives for everyone in the office.
This Is Hip Hop: Waka Flocka video

No. No. No. No. No.... I got mad love for the homie Court Dunn (pause). But no. no. no. no.... haha.. The opportunist suits up for The Court Dunn x ThisIs50 series "This is Hip Hop". Draw your own conclusions below.

Aloe Blacc: "The Dark End of The Street"

"They're gonna find us, you and me, at the dark end of the street."
There's never a bad time to post some new music from Aloe Blacc. This new one, "Dark End of The Street" is a cover, with the original coming from James Carr. This cover is part of Carhartt's compilation, which shares the same title and is being put together by our homies at Stones Throw. Grab the new music below.

Jay-Z Also Says Some Really Nice Things About Hammer

"He's gonna be embarrassed... I said some really nice things about him in the book."
Jay-Z is out in London right now, and talked to DJ Semtex about his line in "So Appalled" as well as Hammer's diss track, "Better Run Run". As I thought, Jay says he didn't really mean anything with his reference in "So Appalled", and also had some great things to write about Hammer and his legacy in the forthcoming book, Decoded. Jay-Z also confirms there will be no proper audio response. Hear the interview with Semtex below.
Signif: "Drifting" video

"I used to be discreet, but now I'm a beast cause I doubt being meek will bring you victory."
I don't post too much music from female emcees, and one reason is because there are not very many. Signif adds to grand total though, and in a big way. She's most reminiscent of Jane Doe and Rita J, and her video for "Drifting" is pretty solid. It comes from her recently release project, The Transition, which is also available. See the video below.

Rihanna: "Love the Way You Lie" (Part 2) ft. Eminem

The prequel to this song, off of Marshall's very impressive Recovery album, was one of the most popular songs of the year and is statistically the most popular of Em's career. It hit number 1 on the charts in 9 different countries (#2 in the UK too). This track is off of Rihanna's upcoming Loud album and like part one, the song looks into an emotional, dark, and twisted relationship. This track is a bit slower paced than the first and it is truly is Rihanna's track as Eminem delivers a late verse and Rihanna does the rest.
This type of song is not my usual listening material but part one was too good to deny this track a post. I've always thought Rihanna was very talented and an excellent performer, but I feel like this track comes up short when compared to the original. I'm a bit biased in that I'll always be a fan of Eminem over Rihanna, but she just can't deliver the same energy on a record like this when put up against Eminem. I'm not saying that she isn't good on this track. I just think her vocals and Em's verse don't quite line up emotionally or sonically on this one.
