Young Dirty Bastard: "Son"
The Young Dirty Bastard is the son of Russell Jones, aka, Ol' Dirty Bastard, aka Big Baby Jesus, aka Dirt McGir, aka.... you get it. The YDB introduces himself with the track "Son", featuring a very funky soul-sample and the YDB channeling his pop's off-kilter flow patterns and at times nonsensical lyrics. This will appear on YDB's forthcoming Food Stamp Celebrity mixtape.

Young Man is an artist from our own backyard, but it took me going through Hypem, and then reading an interview with BeachTapes to find him. But, I found him and his music, and I like it. So I am going to share. "Up So Fast" is a campfire ready jam with the right mix of vocal distortion and musical haze that combines sounds of an early sunrise. Young Man sticks to themes as well, repeating that he's a boy, he's a real big boy. The title of his last release, from which "Up So Fast" springs, is Boy, so he comes full circle. The EP is out now on French Kiss, and you can sample "Up So Fast" below.
