Rockie x Deshay: "Rollin'"

It's A Process

"Just a bright dude trying to make the right moves."

Rockie Fresh and BrandUn Deshay, two of Chicago's rising young guns, team up for a collaborative project entitled It's A Process.  Rockie's camp explains the whole thing as....

“It’s A Process” is a collaborative audio-visual series from producer/emcee Brandun Deshay and emcee Rockie Fresh. Recorded in under a week in Chicago, the project serves as testament to the work ethic of these young up-and-comers, as well as their own recognition of the ongoing process that every artist must go through to reach their own goals. For Deshay, this project serves as a follow up to his first three mixtapes. To Fresh, it is a stepping stone to his highly anticipated mixtape, “Otherside”, due out this December.

This is the first song off the project, look for more on the way.  Grab this one below.

Yelawolf: "I Just Wanna Party" featuring Gucci Mane

Yelawolf

"Gucci Mane, not Pootie Tang."

A few weeks ago I was djing for a Yelawolf "after set" at J-Bar.  The plan was for me to drop "I Wish", and "Pop The Trunk".  As I got ready to transition into this joints, Jah, his road manager came up to me and said, "you got to play 'I Just Wanna Party' cause that's the new single."  I said, "is it out yet? I don't think it leaked yet." Without hesitation he said, "yeah, it's not out yet."  We both kind of looked at each other, and that was that.  I've been in a little daze from everything we did with Raekwon, so I'm not sure if the track was leaked and all over the place already, but it just got sent to me again, and since I didn't post it yet, I'm posting it now.  Hear it, play, love it or leave it...

Co$$: "Gone" featuring Freddie Gibbs

Gibbs x Co$$

This is the final leak from Revelations, a collaborative effort between Cali's Co$$ on the vocals and Miami producer Numonics.  If RubyHornet had a structure similar to the Wu-Tang, Numonics would definitely be a Killah Priest, or Bronze Nazareth type of dude.  He's pretty much family at this point.  Numonics' production is soulful at it's core, which makes "Gone" one of the most interesting tracks, given the inherent urgency in Co$$' voice, as well as the subject matter.  Co$$ told us about the track,

"I'm always on the move, never really stagnant or standing in one place, always in the mix of things. I reached out to Freddie Gibbs for a feature because Freddie is one of the realest dudes doing it right now in my opinion, what he represent is genuine, and of course, I only f**k with the real, so it was an honor to have dude hop on the joint with me. It's also my favorite beat on the project, along with 'Doubt US'."

The full project will be released tomorrow, and we will also have a full RH PREview piece, giving insight to every song on the album straight from Co$$ himself.  Grab "Gone" below.

Snickers Workwear Craftsmen Shirt

Snickers Workwear Shirt

Here's some nice shirting from Dutch apparel label Snickers Workwear. The company is completely unrelated to the candy bar, but the shirt is just as sweet. Sorry. 100% cotton twill and Snickers' patented 'MultiPockets' design makes for a great shirt, which is available now. Workwear is still a hot item for the fall and its great to see more and more traditional workwear brands making the delve into menswear.

The Suzan: "Paranoid" (Kanye West Cover)

The Suzan

Japan's all-girl band named after a single American woman are doing a lot of covers these days.  Biz 3 sent me their take on The Strokes last week, that I didn't get around to posting, but am making up for it today after this take on Kanye West's "Paranoid" hit my inbox.  The song was premiered by The Fader, who had nothing but praise for the new interpretation.  Check it out below.
