Drinks On RTC Tonight At Vision
Just a reminder to everyone in the Chicago area, that I will be djing tonight at Vision for a special open bar 10-11:30PM. The idea of the night is to go into a downtown club, bring our music and flavor, while our friends can have some drinks without reaching into their pockets. This is the second edition, and will be a lot of fun. It's a cool chance to do something different, and get a good start to a Friday night. Free entry and drinks with mention of me and the site.

Phosphorescent: "It's Hard To Be Humble (When You're From Alabama)"
"Hear me Alabama, I was never meant to carry no shame."
I was drawn to Phosphorescent's music from the titles of his songs i.e.: "It's Hard To Be Humble (When You're Alabama)" and "Reasons To Quit (There Are No Reasons When You're High)" off the folk-rocker's equally cleverly titled LP, Here's To Taking It Easy. Sonically, "Alabama" reminds me a little bit of Jimmy Buffet, while lyrically artists such as Paul Simon come to mind, those that have a way of just talking to you through the record.
