Kidz In The Hall: "Grizzly Man" Video

Kidz In The Hall

This video is dope, and this song is one of my favorite KITH joints.  I think Naledge heard me playing this one at all my gigs, and decided to make a video for it.  I can believe what I want to believe.  Ken Koller did very wll for himself.  See the video below.

Terry Richardson x Lupe Fiasco x Pharrell Williams

Terry Richardson Lupe Fiasco Pharrell

Terry Richardson has photographed a slew of celebrities from Shaun White to Barack Obama, and now adds Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams  to the list. Terry posted a few photos from a shoot with the two musicians with his typical flair that we've become familiar with over the years. No word on what the shoot was for, but the images are certainly entertaining enough by themselves. More from the shoot after the jump.

Web & IDeA: "Liberation"

WEB & IDeA

Web has been steadily on his grind, and his new song may just be his best.  Alcoholism has plagued the Native American community for generations, and Web takes this time to speak on his own battles with alcohol in the context of his heritage.  He writes:

"Being American Indian, alcoholism is something that has plagued my family for generations on both sides. It's a disease that's ripped the community apart for many years and something I don't see going away anytime soon. I myself have had to pull back the reigns on my drinking a few times in my life to keep from falling into the same pattern. I've never been somebody to need many vices. I don't do drugs at all (yes, I'm an MC and no, I don't smoke weed). So I wrote this song in tribute to my favorite little crutch."

J. Cole: "We On"

J. Cole

Here's more music from N.C.'s J. Cole.  "We On" was supposed to be on DJ Khaled's last album, Victory, but apparently it wasn't up to snuff.   I know many people that would beg to differ.

Legacy: "Project Mayhem" (prod. by 9th Wonder)

Project Mayhem

The album pictured above isn't new.  In fact, it's 5 years old (might as well be 100 in the current internet age).  But if you picked it up in 2005, or came across since, you're lucky because it is a Hip Hop classic.  L.E.G.A.C.Y. hails from North Carolina, rolls with Little Brother and the Justus League, watched "Fight Club" with his girlfriend one night and became utterly inspired.  The result was a spectacular underground album, and I thought at the time, destined stardom for L.E.G.  In fact, I interviewed L.E.G. right before the debut album dropped (read it here).

To honor the 5 year anniversary, L.E.G.A.C.Y. is going back through the vaults to revisit the album, as well as songs that could've, would've, and should've made the album.  The first is the album's slashed self-titled intro track (go figure).  It is produced by 9th Wonder (early 9th production) and features Keisha Shontelle.  Download it here
