Yesterday was day 2 of MTV2’s Sucker Free Chicago filming. Once again I was on boom-mic and production assistant duty throughout the day. Friday’s shoot was very diverse, and saw us go all over the city. We were able to capture pretty much every style and sound of windy city Hip Hop, going in-depth not just about our current time, but the things that took place in the past has gotten us to where we are now.
Day 2 featured conversations with the Treated Crew, Rockie Fresh, Chief Keef and GBE, and an end of the day shoot that included GLC, YP, BJ The Chicago Kid, Mikkey Halsted, Sir Michael Rocks, Tris J, Naledge, Sly Polaroid, Gaggie, Jamal Smallz and others. It was an amazing day.
We’re currently out on day number 3, and will cap it off tonight with a special Chicago Hip Hop edition of Digital Freshness. The night will feature performances from Hollywood Holt, Gzus Piece, Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, GLC, JUICE, Scheme, Sir Michael Rocks, YP, and a few surprise guests.
