Nike kicked off another great Black History Month event that was hosted by Ryan Baker (CBS Channel 2) and Leon Rogers (WGCI) that was held at the Little Black Pearl in Hyde Park this past Thursday.  The event honored Bo Jackson and showcased a documentary about his life.  Bo Jackson completed a great Q&A conducted by Ryan Carter.  Nike also conducted a silent auction room that benefited Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Some of the big highlights for the night were the dancers from the night which included the legendary Brave Monk, CJ “Black Attack” Williams, B Girl Mystic, and not to forget an all female breaking crew.  DJ Tone B. Nimble and DJ INC held down the decks for this memorable eventing.  The big atrium room featured performances from MCs ADD-2 who did a song inspired by Bo Jackson and Rashid Hadee who did songs inspired by the 1996 US Women’s Basketball Team, 2002 Brazil National Futbol (Soocer) Team, and 2008 Kenya Long-Distance Team.  The theme of the evening was all about uplifting the community and how you can MAKE IT COUNT.  How do you make it count???
