Last year at Do Division Fest we did DJ RTC and Friends. The event took the form of a live mixtape, orchestrated and arranged by DJ RTC in which he was joined by top Chicago Hip Hoppers Mike 100’s, Really Doe, Phil G, Project Mayhem, Mick Luter, Mic Terror, Mikkey Halsted, Rhymefest, and GLC. Each artist performed 1-2 songs with no breaks, each set was transitioned by DJ RTC as he blended records together, creating a live mixtape, which was later released for free download. A year later, RTC is ready for the second installment featuring a new crop of artists and simultaneously serving as the kickoff event to RubyHornet’s new weekly Thursday night at The Shrine.
Our new Thursday night is called Digital Freshness and will include music from DJ RTC, as well as special performances from local and national artists. June 3rd we kick it off with RTC & Friends part 2 followed by Donnis live at The Shrine June 10th, and Aloe Blacc live at The Shrine June 17th. Don’t miss the kickoff.
