Chicago’s summer is without a doubt slowing down. The nights come sooner and are cooler than they’ve been in some months. Daytime is more bearable . As we approach a more definite change in weather with the arrival of fall, Chicago’s shops are receiving the first pieces from the next group of collections. RSVP Gallery, St. Alfred, Jugrnaut, Leaders 1354, Uprise, and Sir & Madame all are gearing up for the next season with some new dope gear.

St. Alfred

After a one day renovation this previous Monday, St. Alfred‘s is open again with a large new stock of dope gear. With the seasons changing, the store received its first shipment of outerwear for the colder months. Nike Sportswear dropped a crewneck sweater as well as three zip-up hoodies, two made from the usual materials and one water repellant version. Each boasts a clean color pallete and simple detailing that are trademarks of the NSW line. The store also stocked up on Crooks & Castles and The Hundreds. The C&C fall collection is mainly made up of t-shirts and hoodies, sporting some of the brands staple designs as well as a few new ones. The Hundreds has both crewneck and hooded sweatshirts represented, printed with the ever-present Adam bomb and signature typography logo. While we have some time before the leaves change to a golden hue, it’s never too soon to snap up some clothes to keep you warm this fall.

Leaders 1354

I feel as though I’ve said this in the past, but LDRS1354 hat game is on point. Correction; I have said this in the past, and below are two more reasons for me to keep saying this. In collaboration with Tony Baines and Furious M. Stylez, the shop has dropped two new fitteds that are exceptionally dope. BainesGod‘s cap sports a green pallate, with Leader’s ‘winged L’ logo gracing the front. Furious Stylez‘s is a red version of the big ‘LDRS’ fitted, which was included in kelly green earlier in Local Threads. These are available in-store and online.

Jugrnaut

After releasing their second collaboration with Starter last weekend, Jugrnaut is on a roll. This week they received the Crooks & Castles fall collection as well as a collaboration between Chicago female MC Psalm One and Fake Shore Drive. The t-shirt is an ode to a few of hip-hops most prestigious female rappers and is available in-store; if you purchase the tee, you will receive a copy of Psalm One’s The Bus 3 tape. One of my favorite items that I’ve seen from the C&C Fall collection is the air gun graphic. The beanies feature it stitched on the front and it is represented heavily on other pieces in the drop. Neither of the items are available online yet, so head into the store if you’d like to grab them.

Uprise

Uprise Skate Shop is the stockist of the freshest vans in the city. Their latest arrival from the brand are two models sporting a gray and snorkel blue colorway. The authentic (top) is Vans’ classic shoe, which in my opinion gets better looking every day that it is worn it. The other model is a 106 vulcanized, similar to the chuka low, and sports an all gray construction, with blue detailing in the laces and tags. Both are exceptionally clean and are great values.

The shop also has new Ashbury t-shirts stocked. The new run of tees is a limited release and comes in three versions, with icons Notorious B.I.G., Easy-E, and MJ on the front.

RSVP Gallery

RSVP’s latest edition of exclusive and luxury that they have added to their collection at the store is 3.1 by Phillip Lim. The designer is famed for his ideals that refining a style is a much more deserving task that reinventing the wheel. Below is a one of the seven items of Lim’s that RSVP stocks, a peacoat with leather motorcycle jacket sleeves. The clean lines are elegant and muted, but it stands out because of its quality. RSVP Gallery also stocks a few leather goods, including a backpack, laptop case, and tote bag. While I may sound like a broken record, I can’t help but say that RSVP only messes around with the highest quality products. If your willing to drop 1k, you can pick up any of the items online of in-store.
