While the tree’s have yet to shed their green color, the fall is coming with a head full of steam. As the season’s change, its obvious that Chicago’s cutting edge is keeping up. This week sees the arrival of fall collections from brands hailing from all over and I’ll also rehash a few dope releases that happened since the last Local Threads. Read on to check out some select products from Saint Alfred, Jugrnaut, Leaders 1354, Sir & Madame,

Spotlight Items:

Today marks the release of a Nike Quickstrike that really is a must have. The Nike SC Trainer II hi-top model is a model that you won’t see too many of. The limited numbers of the two dope colorways ensures that these will be gone very quickly, but luckily two Chicago shops got them in. Head to either Saint Alfred or Leaders 1354 to cop a pair.

Chicago is lucky to have such dope shops. Especially when nearly all of them produce such fresh and original gear. Jugrnaut stocks some of the streetwear industry’s best brands as well as their own products. Both Mishka and Rocksmith‘s fall collections arrived in store. Both are comprised of a good mix of products, with dope baseball styled jackets standing out in each collection. Rocksmith’s also delivered a large number of new tees, full of their pithy humor. Mishka’s flannel and sweatshirt game looks to also be on point. Both brands will keep you warm and looking cool this fall. If you’re looking for some school gear, another new arrival is Sprayground backpacks.

Rocksmith Jackets in Navy and Black

Jugrnaut‘s own brand will be seeing two more arrivals of their Starter Collab Caps in the upcoming month. A run of shield shirts will also come out in the near future. Don’t think that the fall collections are done rolling in, both Diamond Co. and Hundreds will be stocked soon.

On another note, check out The Release, a 18+ party at Reggie’s Rock Club celebrating the end of the summer.

Saint Alfred

If you’re in the market for shoes, go to Saint Alfred this weekend. The shop just received their stock of Vans x Taka Hayashi Derby shoes and Sk8-Hi’s, mentioned in last weeks Threads. The other shoes in stock are the Nike SC Trainer II [spotlight item], Nike Air Magma’s, and gray suede AF1’s. That’s some selection of kicks for the fall.

Clothing wise STA has the latest from HUF, The Joneses, Hundreds and Norse Projects. Considering the diversity of the brands that they carry, STA has cemented its place as a shop that walks the line between high-end menswear and classic streetwear. Brands like Norse Project, Original Fake, and Deluxe Clothing fall into the latter. The remaining brands fall into the former. Whatever you’re looking for, if it’s purchased at Saint Alfred, it’s guaranteed to be stylin’.

Leaders 1354

This week Leaders 1354 has a great lineup of new stuff for its customers. They’ve restocked their supply of Nudie Jeans as well as getting in a few new pair of sneakers. The Air Jordan III ‘Stealth‘ is a new take on one of the most iconic jays. Tenth Division has one of the freshest and most refined fall collections that I have seen yet, drawing on the rebels and trouble makers. The black cat is the unifying icon throughout the new line, which is now stocked at LDRS. Below is one of their patterned shirts, with small detailing like a matching pocket.

The store also got two new Nike quickstrike releases, the Nike SC Trainer II [spotlight item] and the Nike Talaria Boot. Both come in two colorways and will sell out quickly.

Sir & Madame

Sir & Madame have yet to roll out their fall gear, as you wait for the weather to break and the fall chill to arrive, you can read about the owners in Uptown magazine. Brian and Autumn Merritt ran the shop formerly named Solemates Chicago. Next Thursday you can also stop by the store for their Fashion’s Night Out from 6-10 for cocktails and sweet treats. As their new gear arrives at the store it will no doubt be posted.
