Brazilian designer, Andre Lima has been receiving recognition for a while for his use of exaggerated shapes, interesting accessories, and flavorful patterns. The Spring/Summer 2010 show was no different in the sense that he gave us a variety of shapes to work with, a bit reminiscent of Balenciaga but with a colorful flair. The show included fun swimwear and one-pieces that I could see Lady Gaga rocking as well as dresses I would love to wear for shock value during a night on the town. Peep the head pieces and accessories that add a hint of drama to the collection. The belts used for the show are so much fun with the asymmetrical metal buckles. The longer dresses have some flamenco inspired embellishments with the giant poufs, and there’s even a mini-dress made completely of pouffy tulle. The backs of the dresses have such interesting lines that you’ll be sure to keep the heads turning long after you’ve left the room.
