Toronto definitely is a huge base for Hip-Hop and is definitely a city that is under-appreciated for the quality music its citizens release. That is probably one reason the Toronto-based media outlet The Real Frequency is releasing a compilation LP titled The New North with solely local artists including, JD Era, Marco Polo, Kardinal Offishall, Moss + more. Serving as the single for the the LP, Shad’s “Flawless” is a rugged, aggressive release, that was instrumental in molding the rest of the LP.
