This is the first “new” Soulfully, Me material since the release of his Confessions of a College Kid. This track was on the track listing for the tape but was not in the download.
For those of you who don’t know…Soulfully, Me is a promising artist out of Memphis. He released an impressive tape back in the beginning of October. I can’t help but think of J. Cole when I hear him rap. He has a similar style in the way he varies his flow and also like Jermaine, he’s not afraid to venture into a bit of sing song delivery that can give a lyrically solid track a catchy feel. His mixtape discusses life and the struggles of a college student trying to break into the industry. It’s only fitting that Soulfully goes over a track that J. Cole destroyed (“Back to the Topic”).
