Freddie Gibbs + Madlib: "Harold's"
Well this new is just plain silly. Today, Indiana's own Freddie Gibbs and Madlib announced a colllaboration project together, named Pinata, due out February 4 on Madlib's label Madlib Invazion. As a preview of the upcoming album, as if it needed more buzz around it, the duo plans to release Deeper EP containing the lead single by the same name. Today, they decided to give fans the B-side of the EP, titled "Harold's". And, to add even more excitement to the whole thing, the project is produced by Madlib and includes guest spots from Raekwon, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Domo Genesis, Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Mac Miller, and more. Smokers Club Announce Fall Tour Featuring Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$, The Underachievers & More
The Smokers Club is back on tour, and this time Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$ & The Underachievers will be headlining throughout North America this fall. The fourth installment of the tour will also feature the rest of Pro Era, Statik Selektah and Chevy Woods plus 27 stops including Chicago (10/24) and Austin (11/17). If there's anyone in the world who would be bold enough to make a song inspired by Christopher Dorner --an ex-Navy Reservist, LA police officer and anti-hero--, it would be TDE's Ab-Soul. Over production by Willie B, Soulo tackles topics such as murder, the goverment's agenda, drones and more with unapologetic rhymes and a commanding flow. Blended Babies decided to do something special in celebration of Chance The Rapper --who's a close homie of the duo--hitting a millie in his visual for "Smoke Again" featuring Ab-Soul, so they remixed the track and added some production tweaks and came out with a new way to enjoy the track. Sir Michael Rocks: "In a Minute" (feat. Ab-Soul and Dash) (prod. by Larry Fisherman)
"In a Minute" is Sir Michael Rocks' new song in preparation for his next project, While You Wait... Featuring Ab-Soul and Dash with production by Larry Fisherman (AKA Mac Miller), "In a Minute" has a smooth, bass heavy beat with a stand-out verse by Ab-Soul. I'm a sucker for Sonic the Hedgehog references, and the MC begins his verse hitting the trifecta of Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails; how could I not be a fan of that?
