Animuse: "Changing Faces"

Following the release of The Lucy List, Animuse dropped their latest single this week, "Changing Faces." Like most other Animuse songs, the Savier-produced track holds that signature heavy sound Savier's known for, as well as the dark lyrical themes both Savier and Elishua typically deliver. However, the presence of guitar riffs and tribal drums adds an extra rhythmic layer to their established song. Check it out below. A FragDFilms' directed video for "Changing Faces" will be releasing very shortly, of which a teaser has been released. Based off of my personal talks with Bryan over the video, you'll all be in for a visual treat when it drops.

[Mixtape] Animuse: "The Lucy List"

Animuse is back with what they describe as "a Frankenstein of loose tracks." #TheLucyList is precisely what it sounds like, a list of "looseys" or loose tracks without a home project to appear on. The mixtape is a sort of holdover for fans to keep happy with while Animuse works on their upcoming project, Transpire, due out later this year. Download here

Animuse: "Mayday/Holy Donuts"

Animuse has been making waves in the city recently and continued that trend today, dropping the two-side release "Mayday/Holy Donuts" that easily demonstrates the full scope of what Savier and Elishua can do both on the production side and behind the mic, changing things up early and often across the duo's drop. On their Facebook page, Animuse describes itself as being "kinda like that unpopular kid that you like to chill with, the kinda kid that just grows on you," the tracks definitely share a personality with their creators, growing on you with each listen. Check the track out with download below.

Animuse: "Don't Go" (feat. Auggie the 9th and Blakkass Westley)

Caution: If you listen to this new Animuse cut, you might find yourself replaying the song over and over, so set your schedule accordingly. As Animuse slowly makes their way back into the scene (hinted at last month with Savier's Dead Weight Beat Tape 3 drop), they're dropping quality tracks here and there leading up to the September 17th release of TheLucyList, a mixtape/collection of loosies. Assumedly, "Don't Go" will also be a part of the collection.

Both Savier and Elishua teamed up with my best friend Auggie the 9th and second best friend Blakkass Westley for the ironically named song, considering how the song does, in fact, go, and goes hard at that. Whether it's Elishua and Savier's patented verse trade-offs, Auggie's street punk-inspired, high-energy screech, or Westley's unorthodox rhyme scheme, the four ensure that each listener won't be able to listen to the song just once.

Check out the song below, look forward to TheLucyList next month, as well as Animuse's next full-length, TRANSPIRE, later this year. (Side note: Props to Auggie for the Romeo and Juliet verse.)
