[Video] 2014 Grammy Awards Performance Recap

While the awards may have left some excitement on the table, the performances of the 2014 Grammy Awards certainly did not disappoint. Jay-Z and Beyonce started things off with a rousing performance of their track "Drunk in Love" from her recent release that got the energy going in the Staples Center. Lorde performed her 2013 seminal track "Royals" to a certain degree of minimalism, sporting a darker new look and Pharrell and Daft Punk teamed up with none other than Stevie Wonder for a rendition of "Get Lucky" which went on to win record of the year and Kendrick Lamar linked up with Imagine Dragons for an inspired performance than skipped across songs, opening with "m.A.A.d City" which had at least two in the front row out of their seats. Alas, all the showmanship was thus in vain to the almighty Macklemore & Ryan Louis whose Teflon-esque evening continued into their live performance as they trumped the rest of the field by hosting 33 gay marriages onstage with Madonna. There's a lot you can do to create entertainment, but I have to say there's not much more than that. We rounded up the whole lot of Grammy performances and have them streaming here below for your viewing pleasure. Check them out and stay tuned to RH for continuing Grammy coverage.

James Blake Releases Pair of New Songs

James Blake took to his BBC Radio 1 show residency last night expecting to catch up with fellow British electronic artist Burial last night, and instead ended up dropping two new songs of his own. The 25 year old musician/composer gave fans a first listen at his latest, "40455," which is inherently Blake through and through with its linear, dark, growing instrumental lines and Blake's melancholy vocals. He also dropped a remix to Beyonce's "Drunk in Love" track with Jay Z, under his alter alias, Harmonimix. Check both tracks out, streaming below here.

Grimes Signs to Roc Nation

Canadian electro-pop sensation Grimes announced today that she has signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation imprint. It's becoming the chic thing to do lately, as Grimes joins a roster that already boasts M.I.A., Santigold, and HAIM, alongside his stable of superstar producers and athletes which include Robinson Cano who signed a 10-year, $240 million contract with the Seattle Mariners last week at Jay's behest.

Few artists have been as prepared for a second act as the man who brought us "Encore". Already wealthy and powerful beyond his wildest dreams growing up in the Marcy Projects of Brookyln, Jay-Z is establishing himself as much more than just a businessman, entertainer or talent scout-he's all of that and more. While his rapping has certainly gotten less poignant since his "retirement" with The Black Album. Beyonce proved earlier this month that they are easily the most powerful couple in music today, if Jay keeps signing up all the talent he may not relinquish that throne soon.

[Video] Beyonce: "Drunk In Love (Feat. Jay-Z)

Well, if you hadn't heard, Beyonce put out some music videos last week. 17 to be exact. In what may have been one of the biggest mental overloads for any conscious woman with a computer and Internet connection, Beyonce dropped her expansive fifth studio album that includes 14 new tracks and 17 new videos, all dropped without any promotion or marketing via iTunes.

Today, we have the video for "Drunk In Love" featuring hubby Jay-Z. The video was shot by Hype Williams and features the pair on the beach, with Jay-z swimming in a neck full of gold. If you haven't taken the time to sit down and watch through the whole series, you're definitely missing out as Beyonce and crew do an amazing job of shooting full unique visuals for each that are creatively different and visually striking. Check out "Drunk In Love" here below.

Beyonce Surprises With New Album Release

Well, this kind of turns the whole 'Friday The 13th' thing on its head, huh? Last night, without fanfare or promotion, Beyonce released her fifth full studio album via iTunes. To call it an album is a bit of an understatement. The self-titled project consists of 14 songs released complete with 17 accompanying videos, for something that the First Lady of hip-hop and R&B referred to as a "visual experience."

In a press release, Beyonce described the idea for the new album. "I see music," said Beyoncé. "It's more than just what I hear. When I'm connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they're all connected to the music."

The album is a family affair of sorts, with husband Jay-Z and infant child Blue Ivy making appearances on two tracks. I haven't had a chance to hear "Blue" yet, but I'm sure it's meant to melt many a young girl's heart, queue the "awwws". As she is apt to do, Beyonce handpicked the rest of the features, adding to of the top artists in music today to a project that was already sure to be groundbreaking. Drake stops by for "Mine" and Frank Ocean hops on "Superpower", which should be a treat. Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, The-Dream and Noah “40? Shebib handle the bulk of production duties. Taking a page out of the rest of the music world, Beyonce released the album, complete with videos with simply a posting on her Facebook wall. You can check out some of the videos below and pick up the full album on iTunes.

Beyonce For Flaunt Magazine

If you ever wondered what Beyonce would look like covered in nothing but glitter, paint, and body oil, here's your chance. The Queen B recently graced the pages of Flaunt Magazine in nothing but her birthday suit with her only accessories being African bangles and necklaces. Photographer Tony Duran was in charge of shooting Beyonce, and together they created some great portraits full of color. These photos just pop and definitely easy on the eye, so check out the rest of the photos from the shoot below.
