RL Grime and What So Not got together on a dance number for "Tell Me" and Casey Veggies gave listeners a new one in "Anything Goes" and Lil Boosie, fresh out of prison let everyone know things aren't that different on "Same Game". [Video] Rockie Fresh & Casey Veggies Announce Joint Mixtape
Casey Veggies and Rockie Fresh took to MTV yesterday to announce a collaborative mixtape between the two artists, dropping towards the end of the year. Fans are probably already aware of the fact that the Chicago and L.A. natives have been working together for years and their chemistry is one of the best in the industry, so this announcement is very promising of dope music being made! The 'tape is tentatively entitled Fresh Veggies and will be presented by Puma.

[Video] Earl Sweatshirt: "Hive" (feat. Vince Staples and Casey Veggies)
Just the other night, I was talking about how Doris is my most anticipated non-Chicago hip hop album of the year. With confirmation that the years-in-the-making album will be dropping August 20th, the once-mysterious, always-hyped Odd Future rapper will take his place in the spotlight after all of this passed time following the infamous EARL drop from a few years ago.
"Hive" is the latest song/video to come out in support of Doris following "Guild," "Whoa," and "Chum." Featuring Earl staples Vince Staples and Casey Veggies, the song keeps the beat simple to allow Earl's complex wordplay breathe with a dual chorus delivery between Earl and Casey and a closing verse by Vince. The video has some shared motifs with "Chum," like the mysterious plain-faced/masked background creatures littered throughout the video.
Earl's grown and matured considerably since EARL surprised us all three years ago. More importantly, his rhymes are staying multilayered and elaborate enough for this English major to get excited over. Honestly, who hasn't put their backpacks back on in excitement over Doris?

Casey Veggies: "F*ck Witchu"
Young Veggies releases the first single off of his upcoming Life Changes project, set to drop this month on the 22nd. As the new year begins, Casey continues to move forward as a young veteran. 2013 is going to be another interesting year for Casey, who is thriving as an artist in the spotlight while still working independently. Now word on whether Casey will be signing to a major anytime soon, so for now enjoy "F*ck Witchu", produced by Terrence Clayton, and stay tuned.
[Video] Casey Veggies: "I Be Over S**t"
Casey Veggies comes through with a video for his concept record, "I Be Over S**t". Over a laid back beat, Casey nonchalantly raps about the things that he is now no longer concerned with. The list includes ex-girlfriends, his phonebook, and getting all dressed up to perform. I can dig it. Casey is re-releasing his last project, Sleeping In Class. That deluxe drops tomorrow.
