serpentwithfeet Shares "Seedless"
New York based singer serpentwithfeet is sharing his new single, “seedless,” ahead of the release of his debut album, soil this Friday, June 8th. Co-produced with Clams Casino, “seedless” pokes fun at serpentwithfeet’s overbearing presence in the lives of partners. serpentwithfeet plays with the extremes of his ideals to show the ways in which past partners have felt oppressed by his need. The hyper-vibrato of his voice floats uneasily above a dark, industrial beat that pulses with mechanical precision throughout the track.

Look for soil streaming everywhere this Friday.
A$AP Rocky Explores New Ground on Testing
A sample filled experimentation of sounds is described best by A$AP Rocky himself during an interview in January. "Basically, the point of this whole shit is just testing new sounds. Just new wavelengths. It’s more so the outcome of an experiment.." Testing explores new land for the Harlem rapper who decides to sing over rapping on tracks like Calldrops, which feature an incarcerated Kodak Black.
The addicting hook in F**k Sleep is made for the replay button.
"Fuck em, fuck sleep, come clean, zonin'
Can't forget that I'm golden, can't forget where I'm going
Fuck popo, police, enemies, fake homies
Can't forget that I'm a OG, better act like you know it"
Melodic and effortless, Rocky pulls off a new sound I hope to hear more of in the future.
Returning to his roots with Clams Casino on "Black Tux, White Collar", Rocky delivers his iconic pitched down voice before the final track plays. "Purity", next to "Changes", marks the most introspective side of Rocky we have seen to date. With the aid of an unforgettable Frank Ocean verse, Rocky speaks about drug addiction and his sisters death on the outro track of an album that is truly 'testing' new grounds.
[Mixtape] Clams Casino: "Instrumentals Vol. 3"
Clams Casino has been busy working with just about everyone in hip-hop since coming up with A$AP Rocky a couple years ago. Yesterday, the busy producer released his final, annual, year-end recap of work he's done with different artists. Kind of like his own personal, best-of list. The project is jam-packed with a slew of solid beats that littered the end of 2012 and early 2013, including tracks for Mac Miller, Rocky, Santigold, MF Doom and Jim Jones, along with several unreleased beats that found their way on the tape. Clams latest project was the HP "2-day Beat" project with Vic Mensa and several other artists that shows his rise into the corporate side of the music industry. Good for him. Anyway, check out some hot beats below.
1. Crystals
2. Hell (A$AP Rocky instrumental)
3. Cry For Me (unreleased)
4. Pull Me Down (Mikky Ekko instrumental)
5. LVL (A$AP Rocky instrumental)
6. Bird Call (Mac Miller instrumental)
7. Freeze (A$AP Rocky instrumental)
8. Haunt (unreleased)
9. Melthru (unreleased)
10. Bookfiend (DOOM instrumental)
11. Cold Feet (Mac Miller instrumental)
12. Wizard (remix)
13. Youforia (Mac Miller instrumental)
[Video] Vic Mensa: "Egyptian Cotton" (Prod. Clams Casino)
Vic Mensa is quickly positioning himself as the future of hip-hop. The 19-year-ol Chicago MC has been all over the country on seemingly every major publication, TV show and website promoting his latest release, Innanetape, which dropped on September 30 to rave reviews . Playing on his technologic-inspired "Innanet" aesthetic, Mensa teamed up with Clams Casino and HP to record a track and accompanying video as part of HP's 2 Day Beat Project where they teamed up the pair to create the song with ideas for lyrics pulled from Youtube comments. The production value behind the video is out of this world, as Vic seems to physically interact with the verses he's spitting. Vic's pointed, sharp-edged lyricism coaxes over the finer things in life, like Egyptian Cotton, in this latest offering.
Check out the video below and enter to win a pair of tickets to Vic's SOLD OUT show at Reggie's in Chicago on 12/7 courtesy of RH! Tweet, Instagram or Facebook a picture of you with the "Innanet" in some way and hashtag #RHMENSA so we can find you! Read more about the contest and show here.
