Michael Christmas Drops New Single with Fool's Gold
Michael Christmas follows up with his second single titled Ball, produced by Thelonious Martin & Aniko Thomas, off his upcoming album Role Model. The album will be released with his new label home Fool's Gold. This project is the first full length release from Christmas since the rapper’s 2016’s Baggy Eyes EP release.

[Video] ShowYouSuck: "Flip Phone"
Clinton Sandifer, affectionately known in many circles around Chicago as ShowYouSuck, knows how to turn a party up, and has proven that much at just about every show he has played in and out of his hometown. Mixing punk and hip-hop aesthetics, Show very well have the most live hip-hop set in the city. On Valentine's Day though? Show's a little more mellowed out, as he demonstrates for us on his latest video for the track "Flip Phone" off his 2013 project One Man Pizza Party 4: Slices After Death. Directed by Chris Beauchesne and animated by Benjamn Marasco, the video is wildly entertaining as the animations coincide with the lyrical content and the simple shot of Clinton by himself in a love seat, in what is becoming his trademark white dotted shirt, as the cartoon world wreaks havoc on him. ShowYouSuck has proven himself a capable artist in myriad situations and he's one artist we should see get his due in 2014. Check out the awesome video for "Flip Phone" below.

[Video] ShowYouSuck: "80s Boobs"
Chicago's own ShowYouSuck meant business in 2013, and followed that up by releasing a gang of projects, the last of which, Dude Bro may be his most polished to date. The Closed Sessions' release dropped its latest video in support of the project, this one for the highly-anticipated "80s Boobs". The J. Arthur-produced track appropriately calls to mind the decade with the high synth use and the black and white visual is a simple affair, with translation subtitles rolling across the bottom while bras seem to be stocked in front of Show. The neon camera flares add a subtle 80s aesthetic to the video, shot by Addison Wright and J. Frank. In the end, the only nipples in the video are Show's, and he burns a bra. See it all for yourself, streaming below.
Danny Brown: "Sweeney Song"
Danny Brown has never been one to discourage drug use. On his latest track release, "Sweeney Song", featuring heavy handed, minimalistic production from Detroit beat crafter MNDSGN, Brown lets loose a track full of drug references and challenges rapid-fire and sans-hook. The track was included as part of a curated 7" by Sweeney Kovar, who used to run the blog Classic Drug References. Check it out for yourself below.

[Album] Danny Brown: "Old"
At long last, it is here. The latest from Detroit native Danny Brown, Old, is finally available to the public after a drawn out squabble between him and his label, Fool's Gold. Danny Brown: "Side A (Old)"
Talk about something having a long lead time. It seems like we've been hearing about Old, Danny Brown's debut release on Fool's Gold, forever. After threatening to leak the album in response to its apparent shelving or a dispute over the release date, a stream of the album came available late Monday. Check out the stream here below and stay posted for the full release coming soon.
Danny Brown Threatens Fool's Gold
Detroit MC Danny Brown isn't known for discretion and made it known today that he is unhappy with Fool's Gold, who signed Brown in 2011 around the release of his critically-acclaimed XXX. Disgruntled over the time it has taken for the follow-up to XXX, titled Old, to be released Brown took to Twitter to air his displeasure with A-Trak and Fool's Gold. In the tweets, which have since been deleted, Brown alleged Old may be shelved for good and toyed with the idea of leaking the project himself. Following several fan inquiries on the social-networking site, A-Trak cleared things up with a tweet confirming a video for the project that will be released next week. Check out the tweets below.
