[Mixtape] Impolite Society: "Bootleg #1"
Impolite Society has been dropping singles and collaborative songs, both as a group and individually, since the group formed in 2009. Over the past few years, the original duo of Blakkass Westley and ELEE X have added Fess Grandiose, Sidewalk Kal, and Khalfani into the mix. However, despite the steady flow of loosies, they haven't been compiled into a full, cohesive package... until now.
Bootleg #1 compiles a bevy of songs ranging from group songs to individual songs to some of each member's individual features. Speaking of features, the guest appearances on the mixtape range from ProbCause, Netherfriends, and Cody deCamry to fellow LOD brothers ShowYouSuck and Cadillac Duke. Production credits include Fess Grandiose, Khalfani, Netherfriends, Von Vuai, Na$im Williams, and more.
As a whole, Bootleg #1 is a true mixtape with a collection of songs rather than a centralized theme. However, the "Impolite Society" mantra is very distinct and carried through the majority of the songs. Can you catch on to what the directive behind "Impolite Society" is?
Impolite Society will be playing a show tomorrow, November 9th at Schuba's with Sango, Joey Pecoraro, and Dario X Blendin Fraser. Purchase tickets for the show here, and check out Bootleg #1 below.
[Video] Netherfriends: "Never Walk Out On You"
Netherfriends has been consistently making great music for some time now, but has just recently begun dabbling in film. For "Never Walk Out On You" he teamed up with Impolite Society and shot a home made video at their recording studio, Kimball House. Elee and Westley do their thing, capped by an epic 30 second shot of Westley's angry face. Check out the video below and check out the whole team September 14 for Kimball House Rock.

[Event] Netherfriends' "New CHI-t" Release Party at The Burlington Bar
Netherfriends' much-anticipated hip hop mixtape, New CHI-t, will be released tomorrow. To commemorate the drop, Kimball House Productions has put together a release party with Fess Grandiose, Impolite Society, The MPLS Henrys, Chandler London, and Shazam Bangles sharing the stage in support of the one-man band himself, Netherfriends. With a suggested donation of $7, this lineup features some amazing Chicago talent. Be sure to make it out! More information on the release party can be found over here.
[RH Photos] Impolite Society (Live at Double Door 5/24/2013)
A few days after Impolite Society dropped their summer honeydip anthem "Player Shit," they took to the stage at the Double Door with an energetic set. Each member of the group, consisting of ELEE X, Blakkass Westley, Khalfani, and Sidewalk Kal (with Fess Grandiose DJing and taking a turn at the mic), took turns trading verses in front of a well-sized audience. Nothing beats seeing ImSo live as each rapper displays their contrasting styles, both in stage presence and lyrical delivery/content.
If you haven't seen Impolite Society live, you can catch them at the Tonic Room tomorrow with Second City Citizens, Epic, Moore + Watch City, Matt Black + MC Friendly, with DJ Elliven spinning throughout the night. Information for the show is here.
Impolite Society: "Player Sh*t"
Summertime Chi is almost here. With the unfortunate rise in violence comes homie hangouts and honeydips coming out for some much-needed sun. Say what you will about winters in Chicago; it's all worth it once summer comes around. Impolite Society might have their rough side, but the Kimball House-backed group is all about love and the ladies. ELEE X, Blakkass Westley, and Khalfani each dedicate a verse to all of the pretty ladies in the world.
Produced by Fortified Sounds, "Player Sh*t" is probably the most romantic, heartfelt, and emotional song Impolite Society has released. Ladies, get ready to open your hearts for these guys and their love. Don't be surprised if the three pursue R&B careers, renaming themselves as ELEE SEX, Huggingass Westley, and Khalfani (which already sounds like an R&B name).
You can listen to "Player Sh*t" and read the song's release below. If you haven't seen Impolite Society live, you can check them out this Friday at the Double Door.
Salutations,
It's pretty much summertime and shit, right? For a young G in Chicago this time of the year signifies a few things: the gun shit and an increase in general senseless fuckery, festivals, the block parties, and last but never the least, chasing shorties in short shorts :-)
I and my player partners Khalfani and Westley decided to dedicate a song to what we be on, Player Shit. If you can dig it, please share it!
Oh, and if you missed it, peep this collaborative effort featuring Netherfriends, ShowYouSuck and my damn self: Good Vibes [https://soundcloud.com/
In solidarity,

Impolite Society: Look of Hate (Remix) (Prod. by Nunca Duerma)
The quartet of Elee X, Khalfani, Sidewalk Kal, and Blakkass Westley don't hold punches with their music. If you've seen them live, you're already aware of their gritty, in-your-face style. Their latest drop, "Look of Hate (Remix)," is actually a remixed version of the song they perform on stage. Produced by fellow Kimball House Production artist, Nunca Duerma, the song is kind of like an anthem about failed relationships and bad girlfriends. We've all been there, right?
Check out the song below, as well as a statement written by Elee X. Caution: It's explicit and might make you want to punch things.
Salutations,
After a weekend of performances here in Chicago, I decided it was time to release a record of ours that had only been previewed at our shows until now. "Look of Hate" was actually concieved as a follow-up record to one of our first songs, "Look of Love," which has since been removed from the interwebs out of embarrassment, ha!
Initially, I didn't want to drop this joint because of the mixed feedback we've recieved post-performances, people either really fuck with it, or it scares the shit out of them, but ultimately I realized, that's exactly what I wanted to do! We more recently got our Kimball House Production homeboy Nunca Duerma to take the vocals and craft a beat around 'em and this is the end result.
So, without further ado, "Look of Hate."
