Elephant Revival Announces Tour

Elephant Revival has been one of the more pleasant surprises to come across my musical consciousness this year. Their album, These Changing Skies, released September 3, is a refreshingly coy and to the point project hat manages to veer off in directions of experimenting with sound and aesthetic at the same time. The band has seen a nice rise in reputation as the year has worn on and their album has found itself solid reviews from a variety of outlets, including Paste Magazine, NPR and more. The Colorado-based five piece folk band is proving that DJs can't overtake live instrumentation after all, and will continue to push their brand of bluesy-folk with a slew of new tour dates, announced late last week. Catch the group between February and March, moving about throughout the West Coast, beginning in Colorado and ending in California. Full dates below:

St. Vincent: "Birth In Reverse"

St. Vincent has been quiet as of late, taking time to craft her latest release, a self-titled, 11-song compilation that she has been diligently working on in Dallas, TX. Upon announcing the LP today, Annie Clark also released a track from the upcoming project, titled "Birth in Reverse", which in itself is a thought-provoking heading for the song. The first release from St. Vincent in a minute, take some time to enjoy the ethereal "Birth in Reverse" below and expect more to roll out in the coming months as her February 25 release dates creep closer.

[Video] Childish Gambino: "3005" (Official Video)

Childish Gambino has blown up the internet with his latest release, Because the Internet, which dropped last week to voracious listeners and solid early reviews. With the project in the public forum, Gambino, also known as Donald Glover, has begun dropping accompanying visuals for the singles on the album. Last week, he dropped the video of him riding a ferris wheel at a carnival, looking unamused clutching a teddy bear. Over the weekend, Gambino also dropped his surf-inspired video for "The Worst Guys" featuring none other than Chance The Rapper, who very well may be having the best week ever between dropping songs with Justin Bieber and a new track with Vic Mensa, all while stopping down in Miami for the stretch run of the Social Experiment Tour. For "The Worst Guys" it seems all the pair did was have a good time at the beach smoking in the water and whatnot. Check out the video here below and pick up Because The Internet now on iTunes. Also, check out Gambino's new video for "3005", available below as well.

Update: The "The Worst Guys" video was originally available, then only available using the password "12.10.13SIXTY", and now seems to be down once again. We'll keep you posted as the video comes available again.

[Video] Vampire Weekend's Baio: "Mira"

Vampire Weekend's Chris Baio has made a living playing bass and providing backing vocals to the indie rock band's uptempo, sunny sound since the groups inception. Today, he released a video for his own solo work. Performing under Baio, he has plans to release a solo EP titled Mira, for which the video is for. Check it out below, its a crazy collage of different facial shots, should be fun.

[Video] Dream Koala: "Odyssey"

It might not come as a surprise to many that the artist known as Dream Koala is a bit different from most. Born in Paris to Brazilian parents, Yndi Ferreira was bound to have a diverse pallet from which to cull his personal musical stylings. Having remixed tracks for Angel Haze and The 1975, Ferreira stepped onto the music scene at large last year, exposing himself to the world as Dream Koala. On September 23, the 18-year-old producer released his debut project, Odyssey, for which the debut song gets a video today. Describing his musical flare, Ferreira says: “I want to have my own genre by mixing all my influences together,” Yndi explains. “To me, everything is connected - be it the genius of Flying Lotus or the ethereal beauty of My Bloody Valentine." Check out the video below.

[Album] Matt & Kim: "Lightning Remixes"

Matt & Kim wanted to change things up, so they remixed their complete last album and stripped down for the cover at of the album the remixes would occupy.
